M.O.U TO MAKE EMBU AN INDUSTRIAL HUB SIGNED .

The department of Trade and Tourism in which the responsibility to turn around Embu’s Economy is bestowed has been working round the clock to ensure Embu lives to its slogan;
             “The Land of Opportunities.”

With the understanding that industrialization is a key driver of any economy, the department has moved with speed to actualize the promise of industrializing Embu.

To that efect, Governor Wambora signed an M.O.U between Embu County Government and Kenya Industrial Estates (K.I.E) regarding promotion and facilitation of industrialization in Embu County.

The two parties agreed to collaborate efforts towards the achievements of development of:-
Industrial infrastructure,
Provision of fnancial services,
Provision of Business Development Service to build SMEs capacity,
Resource mapping,
Development of industrial master plans,
Operationalization of sub-county industrial development centers,
Enhancement of equitable participation in medium/ large enterprises and identification of other areas of cooperation aimed at facilitating industrialization as agreed upon by parties from time to time.

Through the M.O.U, both parties have agreed to continue with discussions on other areas identifed in respect of their implementation and in
identifying each parties function.

SENATOR LENNY KIVUTI 'PROMOTES' YOUTH AND WOMEN WITH 300K.


Embu Senator and gubernatorial aspirant Lenny Kivuti, on Saturday 12 th November 2016 attended two fundraisers for youth and widowed women, where he donated a total of three hundred thousand shillings.

According to his social media updates, Embu Kaangumu Bodaboda Sacco received Ksh 200,000 while County Widows got Ksh 100,000 at Embu Sports Club and D.E.B Kangaru Day Secondary School respectively.
