DID YOU KNOW WHY Embu County Continues to Lead in Healthcare?

Attractive student nurses at Embu Level 5 Teaching
and Referral Hospital
It has been rumored that patients at Embu Level 5 Hospital, have of late exhibited a quicker rate of recovery than before. The phenomenon is attributed to not only the recent medical scoop where a successful brain surgery operation was conducted, but also to the grace exuded by the beautiful student nurses learning at the institution. The positive energy with which patients are attended to is in turn said to come through from the Health Executive in  Embu County, one Dr. Jamleck Muturi.

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agricultural Entomology from Kenyatta University, had previously been the Minister for Education. He was reappointed as Health Minister after H.E. Martin Wambora was re-elected as Embu County Governor, in the August 2017 general elections.

The eloquent orator, teacher, and motivational speaker also happens to be a minister of the Word of God, who habitually mesmerizes congregations by the sheer authority with which he delivers sermons. Although his humility has made him remain politically unknown to many, it is well known within the inner circle of Governor Wambora's government that Dr. Muturi has been one of the strongest supportive pillars to the county's governance. All through Wambora's past trials and tribulations - culminating to the recent vote recount in which he has emerged victorious - the minister has always been by the governor's side, helping him in brainstorming, strategizing and performing.

Dr. Muturi recently hit the headlines when Embu Level 5 hospital was reported to be the first public institution in Mt. Kenya and upper Eastern region to conduct a successful brain surgery. According to Daily Nation dated January 28, 2018, the delicate operation to remove a blood clot in the brain was carried out by a team of five doctors and five nurses, and was witnessed by Governor Martin Wambora.
Previously, when Dr. Muturi had steered the Education docket, major milestones were achieved including the roll-out of the Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) program. Under his watch, close to 500 nursery school teachers were employed by the county government on permanent and pensionable basis. Modern ECDE classrooms were constructed and a program for supply of free school milk for the pupils put in place.

In addition, several youth polytechnics (Vocational Training Centers) were either renovated or constructed afresh, properly equipped and staffed.

Talk of investing in the children, creating jobs for the youth and feeding hundreds of households!

Without an iota of doubt, greater things are yet to be accomplished in Embu County. More prestigious awards are on their way for performers like Dr. Muturi. As long as Governor Wambora maintains such men as the humble but highly intelligent former Biology teacher, you can expect exceptional exploits.
