According to reports reaching our news desk, a poll survey conducted by Embu County Awards Team between May and July 2016, in Embu county, the MCA of The Year Award (2016) goes to Hon. Ibrahim Swalex (above photo) of Kirimari Ward with 4,324 votes, followed closely by Hon. Steve Simba of Runyenjes Central Ward with 4,245 votes.
Hon. Albert Kigoro of Evurore Ward came second runners up, and was also voted as the MCA to have spearheaded most development.

According to the report, Nominated MCA of the Year is Hon. Mercy Mbae, followed by Hon. Winrose Ngithi Ireri, whose photos appear here below, respectively.

Data collection was done through both questionnaires filled by voters from allover the county and online voting over various social media platforms.
