Embu Vocational Colleges Shine in Drama Fest

Embu Vocational Training Centers shine at Drama Festivals

t was all pomp and colour at Dedan Kimathi University where the TVET Mount Kenya Regional Drama and Film Festival was held from 27th to 29th February 2020. Four Vocational Training Centres that had represented Embu did the county proud after winning seven trophies. The winner institutions were Nembure, 
Kanorori, Tenri and Ena Vocational Training Centers.

Nembure VTC took the lead in Modern Dance and second position in Creative Dance while Ena VTC led in Solo Verse, Creative Dance and Play. Tenri VTC took position 1 in Choral Verse while Kanorori VTC clinched position 2 in Choral Verse.

“All the winning teams will be proceeding to Mombasa for the National Drama Festival in April 2020”, said the Chief Officer for Education, Mr. Damiano Muthee.

In the company of the Chief Officer were the two departmental Directors in charge of Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) and Vocational Training Centres (VTC), Mr Jeremiah Wanjao and Kenneth Ndwiga respectively.
