PUBLIC SERVICE AND ADMINISTRATION

Disaster Management

Embu County Government has procured two new modern fire engines which will boost the County's effectiveness in responding to disasters.

At Mombasa port
Receiving them were CECM Lands, Housing and Urban Planning Mr. Raymond Kinyua, CEC Finance and Planning Prof. Joe Kamaria and Embu County Municipal Manager, Ms. Catherine Njoki Nyaga.

The fire engines will enable the County Government to respond to disasters in a timely manner given the experiences the County Government has had in the past.

The equipments will go a long way in helping in combating problems such as collapsed buildings, fires and floods.

The Embu Disaster Response Centre where the fire engines will be stationed will be fitted with a state of the art alarm system that besides alerting the firefighters on emergencies will also deploy technology to pinpoint exact locations where emergency response is required.
